Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake Becomes Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – White Rock

Hospital’s new name reflects continued commitment to providing quality patient care

Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake is changing its name to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – White Rock. The name change is part of the joint venture between affiliates of Baylor Scott & White Health and Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC) to own five hospitals in North Texas, which was completed in January.

"Operating under the Baylor Scott & White name reflects our renewed commitment to providing the east Dallas community with the quality, compassionate health care it deserves," says Jay Krishnaswamy, Chief Executive Officer of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – White Rock. "For more than a century, Baylor Scott & White Health has been caring for North Texans, and we're proud to now be a part of that legacy."

In addition to the new name and brand, the joint venture calls for shared governance of the hospital by a jointly appointed board of managers and other initiatives to better serve patients and the community.

"Our new name and signage is a symbol that we are dedicated to strengthening patient care and continuing our commitment to East Dallas and the surrounding communities for generations to come," says Krishnaswamy. "We look forward to following through on that promise."
