Chris York Named President of Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie

New President Arrives as Construction Continues on Baylor Scott & White Health – Waxahachie

Chris York, MBA, FACHE, is the new president of Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie. York had previously served as the chief operating officer of Baylor Medical Center at Grapevine since 2011.

York joins the Baylor Waxahachie team at an exciting time, with the opening of the brand-new $175.5 million facility later this year. "I am thrilled to join the team at a time when the new medical campus – one of the first to carry the Baylor Scott & White Health name – is being constructed," York said. The new facility, located at the intersection of I-35E and Highway 287, is set to be complete in December 2014.

York's first position with Baylor was vice president of surgical services for Baylor University Medical Center nearly seven years ago. He became chief operating officer for Baylor Grapevine in June 2011. York earned a bachelor of business administration degree and master of business administration with a focus in healthcare administration from East Tennessee State University.

York is married with one child. "My family and I are looking forward to our move to Ellis County, an area with tremendous energy," York said.
