Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital Expands Into Tarrant County

Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital (BHVH) will open a second location in Fort Worth on Sept. 29 to provide outpatient cardiac services at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth.

“One of the benefits of being a hospital in a system like Baylor Scott & White Health is the ability to share medical expertise among the hospitals,” commented David Klein, M.D., president, Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth. “With this new relationship, our patients will have greater access to cardiology research studies and clinical trials along with increased opportunities for collaboration between cardiologists on the two campuses. The goal is always to provide quality care to our patients.”

“With the growth in Tarrant County, there comes a corresponding need to expand medical services,” says Nancy Vish, PhD, RN, FACHE, president of Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital (BHVH), located near Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. BHVH clinical staff will operate and oversee the interventional cardiac services, electrophysiology services, and the non-invasive cardiology services on the sixth floor of Baylor All Saints.

Both hospitals are recipients of numerous industry and consumer accolades. Baylor All Saints recently became a Level III Trauma Center and has Heart Failure Accreditation and Cycle 4 Chest Pain Accreditation (first in Fort Worth).  The hospital was recognized in 2014 by Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce as “Best Place to Work for Women.” Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital received the 2014 Texas Award for Performance Excellence (TAPE), and 2014 Mission:  Lifeline Gold from American Heart Association (heart attack care). Earlier in 2014, Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital was named a Modern Healthcare Best Place to Work.

Baylor Heart and Vascular Services at Dallas (Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital and Baylor University Medical Center) perform more than 8,000 interventional cardiology procedures annually. Specializing in minimally-invasive techniques, interventional cardiologists perform a variety of cardiac diagnostic and treatment procedures from cardiac catheterization and angiography to intricate mitral valve repair guided by echocardiography. Electrophysiologists diagnose and treat irregularities in the heart’s electrical system.
