Carrollton's Trinity Medical Center Joins Baylor Health Care System

Becomes First Baylor Hospital in Denton County

Trinity Medical Center is now Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton, effective June 15, 2009.

The 237-bed acute care hospital located at 4343 North Josey Lane opened in 1985 and provides a broad spectrum of medical and health care services to the communities of Carrollton, Lewisville, Farmer’s Branch and North Dallas. 

The hospital joins the Baylor Health Care System network through the purchase of 71-percent ownership interest in Trinity MC, LLC, the company that operatesTrinity Medical Center.  Physicians own, and will continue to own the other 29-percent of Trinity MC, LLC.  Trinity MC, LLC has a 25-year lease agreement with the Metrocrest Hospital Authority to operate the hospital.

Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton employs approximately 700 people and has 487 physicians on its medical staff, representing 37 medical specialties.

In 2007, Trinity Medical Center received the 2007 Texas Healthcare Quality Improvement Award of Excellence from the Texas Medical Foundation Health Quality Institute, the Medicare Quality Improvement organization for Texas.
