THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano Hosts Heart Health Checkup

On Saturday, Feb. 16 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano invites you to participate in a series of health screenings. The event will occur in the hospital's first floor atrium located at 1100 Allied Dr. in Plano. 

Complimentary screenings include: 

  • Blood pressure
  • Body mass index
  • Lung function test
  • Peripheral vascular disease screening
  • Cholesterol/glucose screening which is finger-stick test to draw small amount of blood for testing.

The following screenings require a fee payable in cash or credit card. Please call 1-800-4BAYLOR to register for the following screenings: 

  • Calcium scoring $79 fee
    This is a non-invasive test that checks for the buildup of cholesterol on the walls of the arteries of the heart. This test is used for early detection of heart disease - even before symptoms appear.
  • CIMT $149 fee 
    This is a non-invasive ultrasound test that can help determine the earliest stages of cardiovascular disease by measuring the thickness of the carotid arteries in the neck.

THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano is located at 1100 Allied Dr. (two blocks east of Preston Road at Plano Parkway) next to Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano. Complimentary parking is available in the adjacent parking garage. The Heart Hospital is the first and only freestanding, full-service hospital in this region dedicated entirely to heart and vascular care.
