Swim Across America. Making Waves to Fight Cancer.

Do you think swimming can cure cancer? We do.

Swim Across America will hold its first open water swim event in Dallas Texas on June 11, 2011. Swim Across America (SAA) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming events throughout the country.

The much anticipated fundraiser will benefit the Innovative Clinical Trials Center at the new Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center in Dallas, the largest outpatient cancer center in North Texas dedicated to cancer care, research and education. Swimmers of all ages and skill levels will raise money to help find cure for cancer, including many cancer survivors and former Olympic swimmers such as gold medalists Jim Montgomery, Ryan Berube and Neil Walker, all from Dallas.

Where: The Harbor at Lake Ray Hubbard
When: Saturday, June 11, 2011
Race Start: 9:00 a.m.

Join Olympians as well as swimmers of all ages and skill levels at The Harbor at Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall, Texas, and choose the 1/2-mile, 1-mile or 2-mile course. Swim as an individual or as part of a team to honor friends and family that have been touched by cancer. For more details, visit www.swimacrossamerica.org/dallas.

In addition to the event on Saturday, SAA will host a Dallas Olympian Clinic. We invite all age group swimmers to join us on June 10th for technique tips from some of the best swimmers in the world including gold medalists Ryan Berube, Josh Davis and Neil Walker. All proceeds will benefit the Innovative Clinical Trials Center at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center.
